How long will it take to have my carpets cleaned at my business?

There are many factors to consider when it comes to giving a time estimate for carpet cleaning.  The square footage of an area and the desired cleaning process all need to be taken into consideration.  We offer several carpet cleaning techniques.  Floorite technicians can help guide you in making a decision that best fits your timeline and budget.

Will carpet cleaning be disruptive to my business?

Absolutely not.  We know that your time is valuable and we will work around your business’ schedule.  We can commence carpet cleaning after hours or establish a custom plan to clean your carpets in sections, as not to disturb your work day.  A Floorite technician will let you know the expected drying times.  We will make this process convenient for you.

Can I use household carpet cleaners for spot removal?

We use professional grade cleaning products whose effectiveness and efficiency are tried and true.    A Floorite technician can give you additional information and details concerning our products.  Call today to schedule your free consultation.

How often do I need to get my carpets professionally cleaned?

In order to ensure the longevity of your carpets we suggest professional cleanings. to help your carpets last longer, look better and stay cleaner.  Quarterly cleanings are what we recommend to our customers; the beginning of each season.  This helps ensure that dirt and grime are removed before they have a chance to get embedded into the carpet’s fibers.

When will I be able to walk on my floors after carpet cleaning?

Times can vary but typically we suggest a drying time of 6-8 hours depending on the cleaning method.  Also, it is ideal to wait two days before putting heavy furniture back in place if not using blocks.

Will there be an odor?

Unless the carpet is wool, the likelihood of smelling any type of scent after a carpet cleaning are rare due to our cleaning process.  At Floorite, we do not use soap in our rinse water.  Instead, we pre-spray our carpets, treat stains and spots, then use a clean water pulling process that makes sure no soapy residue is left behind.  Carpets are then left smelling fresh, clean and sanitized.

Do I need to do anything prior to the technician arriving for my scheduled service?

Yes.  Please make sure all breakable items and valuables are removed from the tops of furniture.  Pre-vacuum all carpets being cleaned and make sure there is nothing on the floor such as area rugs, trash cans, plants, and decor.

Do I have to move furniture?

Ideally, if you can move it then you should.  We can work around anything but to get the best results we suggest moving what you can.  Heavier and bigger pieces like filing cabinets, lobby furniture and bookshelves we understandably can maneuver around.

Are there instructions to follow after my carpets are cleaned?

Depending on the cleaning service you had done, instructions will vary.  We like to allow 6-8 hours for carpets to dry before walking on them.  Doing so before the carpets are dry will result in the carpet fibers being flattened.  If you have any sort of air dryer to help with air circulation, that will naturally speed up the drying process.  Now, if a carpet protector was applied, we recommend 24 hours before foot traffic so the product can cure.  Furniture should not be moved back until the carpet is completely dry or the carpet protector has cured.  Every scenario varies case by case but these are overall general rules that most likely apply to all.
